In Him We Live

Today is Monday Manna, an opportunity for many of us to ponder a specific verse that Joanne has posted on her blog at Open Book.
Acts 17:28: In Him we live and move and have our being.
Ever since Joanne posted the verse for us to focus on for today's Monday Manna I have been singing the early '80's praise chorus:
In Him we live and move

What comes to my mind is the fact that when I am in Him:
I follow His will, not my own.
I focus on Him, not myself
I have joy,
I have life,
I want to rejoice and worship Him.
And when I'm not in Him?
I don't even want to move.
I am nobody
no joy
no life
I want to only dwell on the situations and not the solution.
He is the solution to my situations and I will gladly yield myself to be in Him.

While pondering this scripture, I had that song dancing through my brain. I nearly used it for my post. ^_^
The contrasts you made are so right on! When I know I'm not in Him, I cry out for the shift. With that shift comes the switch in focus, from me to others.
